Advanced Gundog Course 🐾 The Advanced Gundog Course is designed for dogs who have completed Novice training and are ready for challenging, stimulating, real-world exercises. This course is full of regulars, creating a friendly, supportive community where dogs and owners thrive together. Before booking, owners must contact us to check suitability and availability, ensuring each dog and handler can safely and successfully participate. This course focuses on refining skills, introducing complex scenarios, and exercising both mind and body. Dogs are encouraged to use their natural instincts in a variety of fun and engaging ways, helping them become confident, well-rounded, and happy dogs. Sessions are designed to stimulate, challenge, and fulfil gundog instincts, leaving dogs tired, contented, and owners delighted with their progress. Skills & Activities: Advanced retrieving – complex, multiple, and directional retrieves in varied environments Precision obedience under distraction – reinforcing control in challenging situations Problem-solving scenarios – practical exercises to encourage independent thinking and decision-making Water and woodland work – using diverse terrains to build confidence and reliability Scenting, marking, and search challenges – enhancing natural gundog instincts Controlled shot and launcher work – optional introduction to starting pistol and dummy launcher, delivered gently for dogs who need gradual exposure; builds confidence around loud noises and realistic field stimuli Real-world scenario training – exercises designed to strengthen understanding, reinforce skills, and stimulate the dog mentally and physically Course details: Limited spaces; contact required before booking to check suitability and availability Dogs must be comfortable working with other dogs and people in varied environments Classes take place in fields, woodland, water, and other real-world settings Outdoor classes — please dress appropriately In poor or dangerous weather, some sessions may be adapted or delivered online This course is ideal for all gundog breeds or crosses, or other breeds who enjoy retrieving and hunting-style exercises. By the end, dogs will be mentally and physically exercised, obedient, confident, and fulfilled, while owners enjoy being part of a supportive, like-minded gundog community.

Terms & Conditions By placing a booking, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions. Completion of the booking process and acceptance of the terms and conditions forms your contract with Amy Millward Dog Training. The terms and conditions are in effect as soon as you have booked any service offered by Amy Millward Dog Training. Amy Millward Dog Training reserves the right to change the content, timing, date, venue or instructor of services offered. I try to avoid this as much as possible, but sometimes this is unavoidable, particularly with changes in the weather meaning we have to cancel or postpone a session. If we know in advance that the weather will not be suitable we will let you know, however, often the weather can be very changeable & unpredictable. If a booking is cancelled due to the weather, we will let everyone know who has booked in by email as soon as we can, at least an hour before the start of your class. We will then reschedule all the bookings to an alternative date. Amy Millward Dog Training will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from cancellations or amendments to the services offered. Amy Millward Dog Training holds no responsibility for injury or damage to you, your dog, third parties or property. Amy Millward Dog Training hold no responsibility for theft or damage to vehicles or property while at the training premises. All under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Booking Please note that your booking is only secured once payment in full has been received. It´s “first come first serve”. Amy Millward Dog Training reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event/course/workshop/seminar/service. The number of participants is limited unless listed differently. You can pay Amy Millward Dog Training via direct bank transfer, cheque or cash. By Booking you are agreeing to be bound to these terms and conditions. After signing up for a course you will receive a confirmation via email (so please ensure we have your correct email address) or Facebook message. Amy Millward Dog Training has the right to refuse to train individuals or their dogs. Payment Regarding booking for any services provided by Amy Millward Dog Training, payment is expected immediately.
