Service Description
Intermediate Gundog Course 🐾 The Intermediate Gundog Course is the next step for dogs who have completed a beginner course or 1-to-1 gundog training and are ready to take their skills into new, real-world environments. Over six weeks, we build on your dog’s foundation in obedience, retrieving, and control, while gradually introducing fields, woodland areas, and a large pond for more challenging and stimulating exercises. This helps your dog learn to focus, respond, and work confidently in a variety of settings, preparing them for both fieldwork and everyday life. Skills covered include: Advanced recall and stop whistle – reliable response across distractions Marking and memory retrieves – building accuracy and independence Controlled water retrieves – introducing safe pond work Search and scent games – developing focus and natural instincts Off-lead control and impulse management – maintaining obedience outside the paddock Reinforced general obedience – ensuring skills translate to any environment Course details: Six-week blocks, limited to 6 dogs per session Dogs must be comfortable around other dogs, people, and new environments Lessons take place in fields, woodland areas, and a pond, as well as the training paddock Classes are outdoors — please dress appropriately In cases of very poor or dangerous weather, some sessions may be delivered online via video This course is ideal for all gundog breeds or crosses, or other breeds who enjoy retrieving and hunting-style exercises. By the end of the course, your dog will be more confident, obedient, and adaptable, with practical skills that translate to the field or everyday life.

Terms & Conditions By placing a booking, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions. Completion of the booking process and acceptance of the terms and conditions forms your contract with Amy Millward Dog Training. The terms and conditions are in effect as soon as you have booked any service offered by Amy Millward Dog Training. Amy Millward Dog Training reserves the right to change the content, timing, date, venue or instructor of services offered. I try to avoid this as much as possible, but sometimes this is unavoidable, particularly with changes in the weather meaning we have to cancel or postpone a session. If we know in advance that the weather will not be suitable we will let you know, however, often the weather can be very changeable & unpredictable. If a booking is cancelled due to the weather, we will let everyone know who has booked in by email as soon as we can, at least an hour before the start of your class. We will then reschedule all the bookings to an alternative date. Amy Millward Dog Training will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from cancellations or amendments to the services offered. Amy Millward Dog Training holds no responsibility for injury or damage to you, your dog, third parties or property. Amy Millward Dog Training hold no responsibility for theft or damage to vehicles or property while at the training premises. All under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Booking Please note that your booking is only secured once payment in full has been received. It´s “first come first serve”. Amy Millward Dog Training reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event/course/workshop/seminar/service. The number of participants is limited unless listed differently. You can pay Amy Millward Dog Training via direct bank transfer, cheque or cash. By Booking you are agreeing to be bound to these terms and conditions. After signing up for a course you will receive a confirmation via email (so please ensure we have your correct email address) or Facebook message. Amy Millward Dog Training has the right to refuse to train individuals or their dogs. Payment Regarding booking for any services provided by Amy Millward Dog Training, payment is expected immediately.
