Puppy Training & Socialisation Course 🐾 Taught by Amy Millward – giving your puppy the very best start! This 6-week outdoor course is designed for baby puppies or puppies under 6 months, depending on breed and ability. It’s perfect for owners looking to build a strong foundation in manners, training, and socialisation, with a focus on fun, practical, real-world skills. ⚠️ Not suitable for dogs who bark and lunge at other dogs. Please get in touch if you’re unsure whether this course is right for your puppy. What’s Included: Hands-on training in a safe, outdoor grass paddock Off-lead play and supervised training during the course to encourage socialisation and confidence Help with common puppy challenges such as house training, puppy biting, and basic manners At the end of the course, puppies graduate with a Kennel Club GCDS Puppy Foundation Certificate and a rossette! 🎉 Course Curriculum (Kennel Club GCDS Puppy Foundation): Focus and engagement – teaching your puppy to pay attention to you Recall – coming when called reliably Lead walking – polite walking on a lead Basic obedience – sit, down, stay, and wait Socialisation – confidence around people, dogs, and new environments Handling exercises – paw, teeth, ears, grooming, vet readiness Impulse control – leaving things, settling, and waiting patiently Fun games – building motivation and enjoyment in learning What to Bring: Water & bowl Flat collar or harness Lead (no extendable/flexi leads) — training leads available for £15.99 Poo bags Treats (small, smelly pieces of real meat work best; bring plenty and avoid feeding your puppy immediately before class) Treat bag (optional but very helpful) Motivational toy I also stock a small selection of treats, training leads, collars, harnesses, and KONG toys — just let me know if you need anything! About Your Instructor: Amy Millward is a highly rated dog trainer in South Wales, dedicated to helping dogs and their owners build happy, confident, and well-mannered dogs. Amy has extensive experience transforming even the most challenging dogs into obedient, relaxed, and confident companions. She combines patience, expertise, and an effective, reward-based approach, ensuring training is practical, fun, and effective for both puppies and owners.

Terms & Conditions By placing a booking, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions. Completion of the booking process and acceptance of the terms and conditions forms your contract with Amy Millward Dog Training. The terms and conditions are in effect as soon as you have booked any service offered by Amy Millward Dog Training. Amy Millward Dog Training reserves the right to change the content, timing, date, venue or instructor of services offered. I try to avoid this as much as possible, but sometimes this is unavoidable, particularly with changes in the weather meaning we have to cancel or postpone a session. If we know in advance that the weather will not be suitable we will let you know, however, often the weather can be very changeable & unpredictable. If a booking is cancelled due to the weather, we will let everyone know who has booked in by email as soon as we can, at least an hour before the start of your class. We will then reschedule all the bookings to an alternative date. Amy Millward Dog Training will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from cancellations or amendments to the services offered. Amy Millward Dog Training holds no responsibility for injury or damage to you, your dog, third parties or property. Amy Millward Dog Training hold no responsibility for theft or damage to vehicles or property while at the training premises. All under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Booking Please note that your booking is only secured once payment in full has been received. It´s “first come first serve”. Amy Millward Dog Training reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event/course/workshop/seminar/service. The number of participants is limited unless listed differently. You can pay Amy Millward Dog Training via direct bank transfer, cheque or cash. By Booking you are agreeing to be bound to these terms and conditions. After signing up for a course you will receive a confirmation via email (so please ensure we have your correct email address) or Facebook message. Amy Millward Dog Training has the right to refuse to train individuals or their dogs. Payment Regarding booking for any services provided by Amy Millward Dog Training, payment is expected immediately.
